The Red Hat OpenShift Quality Engineering (QE) team is looking for an Associate Quality Engineer with passion for open source software to join us in Beijing, China. In this role, you will make a difference in offerings used by thousands of people around the world and help build OpenShift by Red Hat Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), a system built on container technology and the Kubernetes cluster management system that is changing how development is done. You'll be responsible for all aspects of quality for OpenShift by Red Hat, including designing test plans, extending existing automation frameworks, and developing new automated tests for both back and front ends. As an Associate OpenShift Quality Engineer, you will gain deep understanding of a variety of popular technologies including containers, Kubernetes, OpenShift by Red Hat, etc. Primary Job Responsibilities
o Develop automation frameworks and scripts with Ruby or Golang for automation testing and execution
o Participate in the planning processes for tests and our offerings
o Conduct new feature research and design test cases
o Carry out manual tests and deliver clear status for testing areas in a timely manner
o Document and advocate for the resolution of new bugs with developers and communicate the impact on customers to developers and support
o Constantly learn new things and maintain an overview of current technologies
o Communicate with other globally distributed quality engineers and developers working on OpenShift by Red Hat
o Work in a fast-paced environment Required Skills
o Bachelor's degree or higher, or equivalent in computer science or a related field
o 1+ year(s) of experience in QE
o Familiarity with testing methodologies and techniques
o Knowledge of the UNIX or Linux operating environments
o Programming language skills in shell, Ruby, or Go
o Motivated and dedicated to learning and collaboration
o Good written and verbal communication skills in English
o Familiarity with virtualization, container technology, Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenStack Platform, and OpenShift by Red Hat is a plus
o Contributions to open source projects or publicly available code samples are a plus

Come up with innovative solutions to problems while working with some of the brightest engineers in open source. The Red Hat Quality Engineering (QE) team is looking for an Associate Quality Engineer to join us in Beijing, China. In this role, you will focus on testing Red Hat Virtualization and oVirt upstream offerings. You'll create test plans, research new features, carry out test cases, design new automated and manual tests, develop frameworks to ease test development and automation to speed up implementation, participate in product meetings with a QE perspective. As an Associate Quality Engineer, you will also perform acceptance, function, regression, integration, and longevity testing on our offerings, supervising successful testing in a timely manner. You'll need to have a passion for testing, scripting, and examining how things work internally. Primary Job Responsibilities

o Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of professional experience or master's degree with 1+ year of professional experience
o Experience in software testing; development experience is a plus
o Familiarity with a wide variety of operating system components, especially kernel, KVM, and oVirt
o Motivated with the ability to work under the pressure of deadlines
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
o Professional experience with virtualization is a plus The following are considered a plus:
o Knowledge of Scrum or Agile
o Knowledge of Python, Golang, and shell
o Knowledge of Selenium
o Contributions to open source projects or publicly available code samples
