微软已经承诺，所有Windows Phone 8/8.1均可升级至Windows 10。但和之前一样，不同的机型将会有不同的推送时间。目前，升级Windows 10的首个机型已经确定，那就是刚刚推出的Lumia 640。



近日微软移动北欧地区主管Ossi Korpela在采访中确认，Lumia 640将是首批升级Windows 10的机型之一。这一消息并不让人感到意外，因为Lumia 640和Lumia 640XL发布之时就已经确认为“Windows 10预备机”。

所有Windows Phone 8/8.1设备均可升级Windows 10的这一问题已经没有疑问，差别只是在于时间先后和功能实现。根据微软的表态，Windows 10的一些新功能如Windows Hello生态指纹登录、Continuum手机版本等，均需要新硬件的支持。



Windows Insider主管Gabe Aul已经确认，刚刚在Build 2015上宣布的Continuum手机版本需要高通新组件的支持。Gabe Aul表示：“通过高通的最新组件，我们拥有可以驱动两个独立屏幕的处理器。”根据经验判断，一些低端入门级手机可能无法支持这些新内容。相信微软接下来也将会开始发布全新的Windows 10手机，想要体验更多新功能的朋友做好购买新手机的准备吧！

Microsoft has affirmed that all Windows Phone 8/8.1 devices can upgrade to Windows 10. But similar to past experiences, different device will have different schedule for the new system. So far, the first Windows phone to embrace Windows 10 has been confirmed, and that is the just released Lumia 640.

In recent days, head of Microsoft Mobile Northern Europe Ossi Korpela said in an interview that Lumia 640 will be one of the first phones to embrace Windows 10. And it is totally within our expectation, as Lumia 640 and Lumia 640XL were said to be “WP prepared for Windows 10” when launched at the first time.

It is beyond doubt that all the Windows Phone 8/8.1 devices will embrace Windows 10. The disparity lies in time and functionality. According to Microsoft, some new Windows 10 features like Windows Hello and Continuum for phones will need new hardware support.

Head of Windows Insider Program Gabe Aul stated that Continuum for phones that Microsoft just announced at Build 2015 requires new Qualcomm components. He said, “With the latest components from Qualcomm, we have the CPU that can drive two individual displays.” Based on common knowledge, some entry-level phones may not support these new things. We believe Microsoft will begin to launch new Windows 10 phones, and those who want to try the new features of Windows 10 should get prepared to update your hardware!
